The project was to design a Thalassotherapy Center in Valencia’s port.
What I mainly wanted was for the building to be clear. I envisioned the clients stepping into the facility with a set path guiding them at every step; consequently, the circular shape arises. The journey starts after passing through the reception and changing rooms, at the top of a descending helicoidal ramp that guides the clients through different water rooms designed for coherent and relaxing water therapy. The lack of openings bestows isolation, and light comes through an alabaster central skylight.
